Feeling blue?

Whatever mood you're in, there's a book for that. Romance, friendship, travel, magic. Every shade of blue imaginable. Maybe you're in the mood for a dystopian future. Or maybe you prefer England in the 19th century. Wherever you want to go, whatever mood you're in, there's a book for that. So, if you're feeling a little blue, here are a few books that just might fit your mood:

The Blue Castle by L.M. Montgomery
Blue Willow by Doris Gates
Mali Blues by Lieve Joris
The Blue Sword by Robin McKinley
Gathering Blue by Lois Lowry
A Pair of Blue Eyes by Thomas Hardy

My favorite?

What color are you in the mood to read?

  1. The only one of these I have read is Blue Willow. Might have to check out some of these others! Thanks for a great list.

  2. Like the theme...I liked The Blue Castle, and I haven't heard of the one by Thomas Hardy...next time I'm feeling blue, I'll have to check it out :)

  3. The Blue Sword is AWESOME! The Blue Castle is one of those books I'm not sure if I've read or not. Once I start it I'll probably remember.

    1. I'm so glad someone else loves The Blue Sword as much as me. It's one of my all-time favorite fantasy books. And The Blue Castle is a fun romance that I find myself rereading quite a bit. Thanks for commenting!
